A Letter To Our Community
We feel a collective heaviness from George Floyd’s murder and events surrounding the injustice. We humbly recognize our need to listen closely to the voices of people of color in our communities and beyond.
We know that acknowledging this is not enough, and are committed to taking action. When anyone walks through our doors, or is present at a Run Away Shoes sponsored event, we want them to feel welcomed and dutifully served, regardless of the color of their skin.
We will start by dedicating staff training for growth in our sensitivity and service of others and anti-racism at all levels that will be applicable when serving our community in the store and off the job. From there we will be intentional in our marketing and event partnerships.
