    The Capital Credit Union Houdini 10k recognizes Appleton's iconic resident Harry Houdini and ushers in the beauty of a Wisconsin fall with a scenic course including the Newberry Trail and Appleton Locks. Participants will start at Houdini Plaza and finish in Jones Park to enjoy post-race food & beverage including Copper State Brewing Co. beer to those 21 & older. Additionally, there will be Magicians strolling throughout the morning performing for you to enjoy before and after your run. This event is part of the 4imprint Race Series.

    Beginner mileage plan written by Ben Kubiki "With my coaching certification from RRCA I have enjoyed coaching runners for the past 10 years. Additionally, my personal achievements include qualifying and running Boston 3 times, New York, and Chicago. Running has been a joy in my life since 2011 and I want to continue to explore and share this amazing passion."

    Intermediate plan written by Scott C. "During 9 years as a high school coach, I collaborated with athletes that won 2 team state titles, 3 runner up teams, 2 individual titles, and numerous state placers.I worked for 2 years at the college level, where I was part of the 2022 NAIA Indoor National Champion team at Oklahoma City University, which was garnered entirely from the Middle Distance/ Distance group."

    SHIRT SIZE EXCHANGES

    At the event: After you pick-up your packet, you may go the Race Hub table to exchange for a different size based on what is available. Size exchanges are not guaranteed.

    After the event: The Race Hub table will be open at the conclusion of the event near the finish line. After that, extra shirts will be taken to Run Away Shoes in Appleton and available to exchange beginning mid week.

    Water Stop #1 @ approximately 2.25 miles in.

    Water Stop #2 at approximately 4.25 miles in.

    • Along the course (1 unit each at water stop #1 and #2)

    AWARDS

    Awards will give to the overall winner (male and female) along with the top 3 finishers (male and female) in each age group listed below:

    12 & Under, 13 – 18, 19 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49 50 – 54 55 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 +

    Claiming An Award:

    There will be no formal awards ceremony. Awards can pick claimed at the Race Hub table by the finish lune at the completion of the event or awards will be available for pick-up at Run Away Shoes – Appleton beginning Tuesday the week after the event for 2 weeks before unclaimed awards are donated. Awards are a pair of Asics socks and a Houdini 10K camp mug
