Our brick & mortar small business exists out of a passion for running and wellness. We strive to support our community through the offerings of our three shops, and organizing and supporting local running events.
We open our doors to freely offer personalized shoe fittings, training advice, product guidance, high-fives, and encouragement to the patrons of our community who look to our expertise and guidance.
Together, we have had the ability to provide financial support to over 20 non-profit groups through our event company over the past 10 years. Additionally, we have provided resources and support to other local events and groups that have organized their own events in support of the community.
Run Away Shoes and Events provides a livelihood for people who live in your community. The people you’ll meet when you walk through our doors could be your neighbors; are those you share roads and trails with, and line up at starting lines next to.
We are moms and dads, college students, young professionals, retired individuals, running elites in pursuit of lofty goals and casual joggers daily moving for the good of our bodies and souls.
This means that in order for our business to survive,
to continue to provide you with quality product paired with knowledgeable service,
to continue to freely share advice and resources to help you reach your goals,
to continue to give our employees wages they deserve for the knowledge and service they offer,
to continue to provide community events that are fun and support local non-profits,
to continue to have a place in our community, thriving amongst the “Big-Box” stores and online giants,

When you choose to walk through our doors, we count it as an honor and privileged to have the opportunity to serve you.
We realize we cannot always provide the best price on a pair of shoes that you may find while scrolling through the internet, but as you are choosing where to spend your dollars, we challenge you to think beyond the “best deal” for your bank account.
We can guarantee that we do not take it lightly when you choose to trust us with your time, goals, and dollars. With your patronage we are able to continue sharing our knowledge, providing our products and services and organizing and supporting events in your community.

If you live, work and breathe in Oshkosh, Appleton, Green Bay and our surrounding communities and cannot physically make it into the shop, we would be honored if you would still choose to shop locally through our online shop.
