This was Run Away Event’s second year as the race directors of the Seroogy’s Valentine Run the first Saturday of February in De Pere. We know it’s going to be cold (what else would you expect early February in Wisconsin?). We anxiously await the 10 day forcast and then submit to what is out of our control – remembering that it will still be a great morning because Wisconsin runners don’t hibernate. 😉
Will Run For Chocolate
The draw of chocolate at the finish line is well worth the single digit temps. Thankfully, we were able to raise those temps in a large heated tent in the parking lot of Seroogy’s Chocolates in De Pere for packet pick-up.
After the participants took off, the tent flipped from a space for grabbing their race bibs to hosting race sponsors Icebug and Capital Credit Union.
Lisa from Icebug showed off their amazing no-slip footwear & Capital Credit Union always brings the best giveaways for Run Away Events participants!
We also had a super cool photo area where participants could show off their finishing time on a race clock!
